​The Topper National Team Racing championships took place over the weekend of the 5th/6th October with the DYS sending 4 teams of 3 sailors from Ogston SC. Following a intense selection process/day, Isobel Hedley-Fenn, Alice Hedley-Fenn, Tom Cashin and Ben Knott were all selected and represented DYS/Ogston SC. There were 21 teams from around the country competing and with 120 plus races the competition was high. Following the round robin series, all 4 of the Derbyshire teams found themselves in strong finishing positions, Derbyshire A finished top, Derbyshire B (Tom Cashin team) finished 3rd, Derbyshire C (Isobel and Alice's team) finished 5th and Derbyshire D (Ben Knott's team) finished 10th. Having finished 1st and 3rd respectively, Derbyshire A & B went on to the Trophy play-offs and made the semi-finals, a great achievement, well done to you All.... Thank you Tom, Isobel, Alice and Ben, you did Derbyshire and Ogston Sailing Club proud.... :)
