Youth Fleet

Ogston is lucky to have a very active group of young people in it's Youth Fleet.
There is a wide range of ages from early years up to late teens.  Along with a wide range of abilities, from new sailors to experienced helms competing at high levels.
Ogston Youth Fleet has also generated a number of world class sailors, who now compete at National and World Championship level.

​Our Junior Training programme is an ideal way for any youngster to start.  Tuition is provided by RYA Instructors in a friendly unpressurised environment.

Once able to sail to a basic level we offer extra tuition on a Friday evening, followed by time for the children and adults to socialise in the clubhouse afterwards.  The Youth have their own club room, so they can escape from the noisy adults!

A number of our young sailors take part in the club racing, where they have the opportunity to test their skills against the adult sailors, and compete for the Youth trophies. 
Several also compete away from the club at various events.
